April 9, 1942, U.S. General King surrendered the Philippines to the Japanese.
April 10, 1942, the brutal 85 mile Bataan Death March began.
Approximately 650 of the 10,000 Americans captured and 18,000 of the 66,000 Filipinos, died on the brutal march.
Frank Francone, Sr. arrived at Camp O-Donnell shortly after WWII's end.
Mr. Francone is working the FILvetREP organization (www.filvetrep.org) to make sure that the Filipino soldiers who stood for freedom will finally receive their recognition.
