The University of Virginia, fondly referred to as Mr. Jefferson's university, was founded with a lofty and noble goal, but the first few decades of the university's existence were anything but idyllic. UVA's birth was a painful one, plagued with riotous violence, rebellion and a restless student body. Today we're joined by Virginia author, Rex Bowen, whose latest book takes a closer look at the tumultuous early years of the University of Virginia.
