For generations, most young Virginia males came of age in the woods hunting deer and other animals; killing your first buck or skinning your first rabbit was a rite of passage. But interest in hunting has been declining in our state for the past two decades as farmland becomes scare and young people choose indoor gaming over the real thing. On this special encore edition of HearSay, we bring you one of our programs that took home "Best Human Interest Series" at this year's Virginia Association of Broadcasters awards. The program originally aired in March 2011. Host Cathy Lewis talks with hunting enthusiasts about the legacy of their sport and its possible future.
