This podcast features some of the songs that were played at the first two HDIF Children's Discos at The Phoenix in central London. The disco features our usual mix of indie pop and soul, but is all-ages, so that parents can dance with their children to the likes of Belle & Sebastian, The Smiths, The Ramones, B52s and Pixies, plus their favourite Motown and northern soul hits. The remit is slightly broader at the Children's Disco than at a regular HDIF, so this podcast features a couple of inspired requests - "Left To Our Own Devices" by Pet Shop Boys and "Hush" by Deep Purple - that wouldn't normally crop up on the HDIF playlist. Both were lots and lots of fun to dance to.
The next HDIF Children's Disco is on Sunday April 29th, at The Phoenix, 37 Cavendish Square, London, W1, from midday to 4pm. More info here - http://www.howdoesitfeel.co.uk/hdifkidsdisco.html
