This is a mix showcasing some of the lesser heard and deeper sounds from the Rave scene around 1990-1992 (ok, a couple of 89 tunes in there too). It was an exciting time as house & techno music from Detroit and Chicago mutated into new forms wherever it landed on fertile ground. Breakbeats and Reggae influences came from M25 Hip Hop and Graf kids, Bleeps from up north, Sheffield and Birmingham, New York added the deepness and from Belgium and Holland came a trancier vibe. It was a global melting pot and a lot of the genres we still listen to now were defined then.
The mix features early tracks under different guises by Moby, Todd Terry, Joey Beltram, Kenny Dope, CJ Bolland and Future Sound Of London.
