"The Boogie Man From Hell" released his first album in 1984 after he had relocated from Los Angeles to Hell in Michigan. Although gathering a reputation for his blues rock his hard hitting boogie style and hoarse vocals also won popularity with hard rock and metal fans. This was perpetuated in the pages of UK metal magazines 'Kerrang!' and 'Metal Hammer' in the 1980's.
Katon entered the millennium with his sixth solo studio album 'The Rage Called Rock 'N' Roll'. Since that time he has consolidated his reputation touring in Europe and the USA.
His latest solo album - 'Ror' Outta Hell' - pays tribute to one of his guitar heroes, Rory Gallagher.
In this hour special Pete Feenstra chats to Michael and plays tracks from the album.
