"The Boogie Man From Hell" released his first album in 1984 after he had relocated from Los Angeles to Hell in Michigan. Although gathering a reputation for his blues rock his hard hitting boogie style and hoarse vocals also won popularity with hard rock and metal fans. This was perpetuated in the pages of UK metal magazines 'Kerrang!' and 'Metal Hammer' in the 1980's.

Katon entered the millennium with his sixth solo studio album 'The Rage Called Rock 'N' Roll'. Since that time he has consolidated his reputation touring in Europe and the USA.

His latest solo album - 'Ror' Outta Hell' - pays tribute to one of his guitar heroes, Rory Gallagher.

In this hour special Pete Feenstra chats to Michael and plays tracks from the album.

Great Interview! I enjoyed it, after getting my Copy of the Ror` Outta Hell CD today. Well Hell, you gotta love it, if you are a Rory Fan like me! You get to hear some fine Tunes from Rory, in the Michael Katon-Style played. Means, Michael`s own way of playin` the Guitar is always present, next to the Spirit of Rory! Michael mentioned on his Facebook Side, that the 1st pressing of the CD is nearly sold out and distributors have already placed 3rd orders to re-stock. No wonder Folks! I have been talking to Michael a long time about it and asked for a Vinyl Edition of it. This is in progress. But the Vinyl won`t have as much space, to put it on one Record. But anyway, he waiting has payed off, never the less. Well done, Brother! :-) <3
