During the Christmas season, we think of angels, bright stars, and songs that capture the wonder of the season. It is a fact that audible trumpets or songs from the sky or heaven do figure into several biblical events. The most important, and the biblically recorded first such event was in Exodus when God gave the Ten Commandments to Moses on Mt. Sinai. It is written that his presence was accompanied by ‘a very loud trumpet blast,’ causing everyone in the camp to quake in terror and holy fear.
