Divine Chord Gospel Show pt. 1

Divine Chord Gospel Show pt. 1

First aired on 30th June 2011

Here's the debut show of The Divine Chord Gospel Show which appears monthly on

An hours worth of rarely heard & often previously uncovered vintage gospel soul & funk cuts, from the 1960's through to the '80's.

So many good tracks this month featuring the hard driving funk of the Violinaires lead vocalist Charlie Brown, the Gospel Carolettes rarity & the classic dancer from The Kindly Shepherds.

The show is broken down into 3 sections, and for part 2, we feature the killer rarity by The Divine Chords on Gloryland, as well as the obscure Trumpetaires 45 & the sweet modern soul of the BPS Revolution.

And to close the show, we featured tracks from as far afield as Las Vegas to Alabama, with the sublime Gospel Tornadoes and the much indemand Swanee Sons 45.

Please feel free to join the facebook group 'The Divine Chord Gospel Show' for updates, tracklistings and general banter about each show. See you there, and thanks for listening!
