Thanks Graeme, this is awesome. I have a bunch of Hac mixes from 1989, 1990, 1991 and beyond, but not a lot from 1988, they seem pretty scarce. Because of my age at the time, I didn't start going to the Hac religiously until 1989, even though I made a couple of nights in '88. I would always go on a Wed night (Void night - with the massive robot hanging from the ceiling, remember that?) cos you could always get in, but gaining entry on a Fri Nude night was hit n miss, but when you made it through, mind blowing paradise! I would also do Sat nights with the indie crowd, even though at the time I was a total Acid, House and Techno head (remember that, people being dismissive of guitars, haha, sounds silly now, but we were out there!). Unfortunately I never made the HOT nights, but know all about them. I know Wed nights were always a little "harder" music wise and the Friday nights were eclectic; which is what I always appreciated about you and Mike, unlike some clubs (London), you didn't get fixated on one type of sound (say pure acid all night) but played whatever worked for the crowd and in the moment, be it hip hop or acid, house or say techno; amazing times indeedy, thanks for it all - Slave to the Rhythm, always....Keep the Faith.
