Lovely stuff. Nice to hear some sasha in there too. Wasn't all garage back then. Takes me back. There's grit in my eye...

Thanks for your time Ronson was more than just big vocal tracks that i love, spent most of my time in basement. but when Sasha did his 12 summer nights i was blown away and still love his stuff now. Spent my Friday nights at Ronson and my Saturdays at Love to be such great times.

Been playing catchup with a lot of sets recently and have to say this is an amazing set, incredibly ambitious but massive well done as your knowledge of this moment in time shines through and really well put together::))
I was not a clubber, through this golden era but I dipped my toes listening wise-big fan of Delta Lady/ Secret Knowledge material and Age of Love/ Flaming June stuff and a band called The Joy with a track called Shine!
Great stuff^^

Graeme Mcmillan

Cheers Stubbie the one down side to being there is that your now old!!!! glad you liked it, and Thank you for your continued support

yes Graeme this is a super set... and 3 hours worth!!!! its like going back in time and spending all day in a record shop trying to decide which tracks you want (and could afford sometimes lolol) then going out and playing them and then some genius after you starts playing those tracks you put back cuz you couldn't decide in time and you just wanna go back get that track... but they don't open on Sunday and its probably sold out cuz it's soooo good..... yeah all this kind of excitement I feel listening to this, from an era when you just could not move for amazing music, week after week!!!! I know, I'm old, but dammit I love these tracks, well constructed... man you killed it, mind blowing the effort you put into this, take a bow that man, u earned it!
have a great weekend mate
soon

Thanks Daryll for great comments. The kids today don't know that they missed, record shops were so great and sadly missed by me, go up to counter tell them how much you have to spend what your into, and they would spin tracks for you, yes or no until all your money was gone. Pick up flyers meet like minded people it was all part of your clubbing weekend!!! go home play tracks while you get ready then down pub to meet everyone and see where we are going tonight great times!!!! Cheers Graeme

I had to come back to this one mate, to this amazing homage to a very special era: and this is a very special mix Graeme…
As Jacey highlighted, it takes a well-trained ear, discipline & genuine passion to construct a set like this and boy did you pull it off.!!
To hear tracks like ‘Color of my Skin’ & ‘I Know a Place’ again….vocal bliss.! ‘Groovy Beat’ on Guerilla records (aw man.!!!) Delta Lady – now we are off.!! Ethnic Prayer….aw mate I could go on & on & on & on… So many great tracks, so many great memories of the greatest of times you brought back with this amazing epic piece of work: brilliant.!
Some quality old school DJing skills, 3hr bonanza of music, passion & emotion….f**king well in sir.!!

Graeme Mcmillan

Cheers Creamy for great comment's really enjoyed putting this together have got enough tracks to do part 2, just need time. Made some mistakes and was going to delete and do again, but i wanted it to sound like an 90 mix and felt i would lose some of the great bits of this one if i did. So glad it took you back to a golden time of our era. And thanks again for your support it is much appreciated thanks Graeme.

Well i hope mixclouders give this set the time and justice it deserves a true slice of early to mid 90s clubbing. The skill that goes in to putting a set like this together will be beyond most mixcloud dj's lol...and hence why dj's in the 90s were know as "superstar dj's"..and you graeme pulled it off brilliantly.. The structure of the tunes , the random keys..the random bpms makes putting sets like this together a nightmare so well done sir.! Ronson and the leeds scene in the 90s was at the forefront of clubbing, and if i remember rightly sasha invited BT to a ronson night to show him how his music was being lapped up by the northern clubbers.!...lol. Just one thing...cant believe you dropped "nylon moons"...never heard anyone drop that in a set...i remember judge jules in london when he was on 'kiss fm' premier this..95/96....and to this day i remember him saying this is a new kind of trance..he called it "soundtrack trance"..lol..little did we know that it would lead to the huge gatecrasher trance sound....respect my friend..this mix will be getting cained over the coming months..!...mint!

Graeme Mcmillan

Bloody hell!!!! thanks for great comment. And Leeds was the place to be Ronson, b2b, Vague and the cockpit did some good nights, and used to go to a disco night at town & country can't remember the name, but the compare was Disco Dick that was a crazy night. I dropped Nylon Moons for Creamy, he like's an end statement track and also it was the beginning of the end first Love 2 be ended then Ronson!!!
Went to gatecrasher once was not really my thing.
