Overview: Physical activity has become a prominent method for promoting the physical and psychosocial recovery of military Veterans following an injury resulting in disability. Research has often focused on the outcomes of military Veterans’ physical activity participation; however, as programs continue to be developed, and participation continues to be encouraged, it is important that participation itself be examined. Specifically, we must consider whether Veterans with a physical disability are having quality physical activity experiences not just whether they are participating.
