We enjoy picturing Jesus as the accessible one, always ready to stop and talk and serve and heal and interact. But in some passages, like the one we come to today, we see another side of Christ. To those who approach Him improperly, with hard hearts and hidden agendas, He shows Himself to be stubborn and unresponsive, confrontational and dismissive. Ultimately, He simply refuses to answer their question. What brings Him to this point? And how do we avoid repeating the mistakes of those who provoked this kind of response?
