GTBT #68 - Christopher Everett

Director & producer Christopher Everett came over to talk about the screening of "Out of Darkness" that he's hosting July 16th at Williston Middle School in conjunction with the Food Bank of Central & Eastern NC and Advance Youth Outreach.
We start off by discussing "Out of Darkness", a documentary by Amadeuz Christ that examines the chronology of African American history and culture around the globe from past, present, and future, while shedding light on our country's problem with institutionalized racism. Unfortunately, our conversation was timely considering current events so we spend the majority of the episode discussing Philando Castile, Alton Sterling, Black Lives Matter, and our own opinions/experiences concerning widespread racial propaganda and the atrocious effects that result from it. It's a heavy conversation, but there's some Justice League/Kickboxer talk thrown in the middle for good measure!
Chris is a dedicated, compassionate, and talented filmmaker who takes meaningfu
