Chart positions

This show was 1st in the global soundtrack chart, 2nd in the global classical chart, 8th in the global alternative chart, 19th in the global rock chart and 22nd in the global pop chart.

A tribute to my Film Studies elective during my freshman year at college. The professor was the coolest woman I'd ever met, from Romania (Transylvania), and we watched Orson Welles (Touch of Evil), Quentin Tarantino (Reservoir Dogs; Pulp Fiction), The Crow, The Hunger, the Three Colours trilogy by Krzysztof Kieślowski, and Once Bitten. Yes, one of these things is not like the other. I feel like she made a bet with someone to see if she could get that on the syllabus. I loved that class and I still think about it, 26 years later.

Great syllabus, awesome mix. The big question is how your film prof responded when From Dusk Til Dawn came out...! I’ve been in a soundtrack state of mind lately and this is just perfect - The Crow and the Tarantino soundtracks were definitely in heavy rotation for me in the mid-90s. I actually tried to rewatch Once Bitten not too long ago and couldn’t get through it, and then surprised myself by how much I loved Fright Night. My first film class also included Touch of Evil! The class had a film noir theme, but I forgot how jazzy that score was, just great. (And, I’m psyched that the two of us are dominating the soundtrack chart today! Hope to see you at the top tomorrow.)

Fright Night is one of my all-time faves from that era. Another cassette soundtrack that got played to death in my Walkman. You and I definitely annihilate with the soundtrack ammunition. When you mentioned that’s what you were doing, I was stoked to hear it. Great job! 🖤⭐️
