Part five I was struggling! I hit some fast splits in the last few miles and my body was punishing me. This mix went back to my training tracks. Bombs Over Baghdad kicked in and as much as I wanted to stop and walk I knew it would be the end of me.
CMYK holds so many memories of last summer, It was a great moment to think about something other than this is really fucking hard, it's really fucking hot (excuse the language)!
Dem Young Sconies was the aggressive beat I needed. I was nodding my head (I probably looked like a chicken) but I was in a zone, looking up and pushing on. This moved nicely into Fourtet I had my determination back and settled into my stride, I was so close now.
As I approached the final stretch along Embankment Andy Weatherall kicked in. Perfect. I didn't listen to my last track (even though it's great) I wanted this stretch up to the Mall to be my memory and not attached to one song.
Big up Chris for sorting me out!
