Indonesia’s boogie darling Munir is a part of the new wave of multi-hyphenates with his hands on a diverse range of creative outlets—record producing, running a label, DJing, and designing. His 2000-records deep collection is the envy of many collectors, well stocked with rarities from various origins. On an international scale, he has garnered support from the likes of Boiler Room, Darker Than Wax, Dopeness Galore Records, and many others. Munir has had a few releases under his sleeve with Omega Supreme, Groove College, and Neon Finger, among others. He also hosts a bi-monthly program with the Bristol-based Noods Radio called Bilingual Schools, showcasing lesser-known musical gems from around the world.
For Further Reading Print No.3’s Sound, Munir dived into the deep trove of his records collection to unearth a selection of tunes to accompany one’s reading session(s). Mostly originated from Southeast Asia, some tracks’ artists have been lost to the depth of time and memories.
