7 Things No One Tells A Child About Losing A Parent

7 Things No One Tells A Child About Losing A Parent

As you may remember, my Daddy died two days before my 12th birthday. I remember him, sort of....
And then, as I have shared with you, the real shock begins...not only did he die (and who knew what that meant), but he's not ever coming back. So I had to re-mourn him all the time, even till now. When you're 12, you mourn in a different way than when you're 20 or 40, or like me, 69.
So I will share and comment on some lessons that hopefully will help you as your life moves forward.

And then, more comments about what death teaches us about life. Which is, of course, the whole point.

Tune in, invite your friends. I have listeners from all over the world, and that honors me a lot. "See" you Thursday!

Rabbi Mel
