The Cork Folklore Project was founded as a non-profit community research archive in partnership with the Department of Folklore and Ethnology at University College Cork, Northside Community Enterprises and FÁS. Since our beginnings in August 1996, the Project has been at work collecting folklore and oral histories, preserving a record of the rich traditions of Cork City's diverse communities. "How's it goin', boy?" is a series of six half-hour radio programmes that developed from an ambitious ethnographic fieldwork project, conducting more than 40 oral history interviews with Cork residents from various backgrounds. Highlighting the interface between the global and the local, embracing the resulting creativity and cultural renewal, these interviews present a celebration of a new Cork. They have added a significant multi-ethnic dimension to our collection, and are a valuable resource in regard to Cork identity and everyday culture. Our website is: http://www.ucc.ie/en/cfp/
