It's My Wonderful Life

This week brought the heartbreaking news this week of a number of US gay teens committing suicide because of bullying and teasing in school. I made this mix in response to the 'It Gets Better' meme on YouTube. I guess I was lucky in my own gay teen youth not to be 'that' affected by it. It was also a different time in the mid-late 80's too.

This week's mix is probably my most POPTASTIC journey yet. Not many people really understand my point of view and the stories I try to tell with my song selections. After a listen or two, hopefully you will 'get it.' I want to dedicate this to those kids who we lost this week and to those who just don't know how to handle the pressures of growing up gay. Things really do get better.
