Women power, female quota, diversity... but still: Gender equality has not spread to all domains of our lives. All the same, women are underrepresented in the music scene and subject to disadavantage: Promotion and Booking are ‘traditional’ female domains while men cover themselves with glory.
What the entrance barriers to the music scene are and what we should and could change about this is the topic of our next edition of the Berliner Musiker Treff. Discussion participants will be DJane Electric Indigo - founder of female:pressure, an international network of female artists in the fields of electronic music and digital arts - and Mo Loschelder, booking agent (Media Loca) and curator (Heroines of Sound); the moderator will be Felix Gebauer.
