The Feast of Christmas is so great that the Church cannot celebrate it in one day, but does so over a period of eight days, ending with the Feast of the Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God.
The importance of the distinction between 'belief' and 'faith.' Belief is a deduction using human reasoning, based on evidence. You can believe that a place you have never visited exists based on evidence. But faith is much more. And it is not based on human reasoning, but a gift from God to be able to see what it would not otherwise see.
