This podcast represents the last few months of my musical life, the records that have most frequently occupied my stereo recently, pared down from a playlist at least 10 times as long.
There are a few old favourites - Hood, Low, Flying Saucer Attack - a couple of brand new discoveries (Hocus Tocus and Chad VanGaalen) and (hopefully) a few overlooked gems that deserve a larger audience.
Opened and closed by pieces from Alain Goraguer's 'Planete Sauvage' soundtrack via 70's Algeria, a musician's neighbours in contemprory Toronto, German erotic horror score, pre-Nirvana Northwestern punk rock and other times and locations, here's hoping this music will be welcomed by those who know it and discovered by potential fans who don't.
