Claude VonStroke aka Barclay Cranshaw had his first taste of music by being forced to play cello by his pushy parents. After graduating with a film degree and working in a series of underpaid jobs in the film industry, the world was not the young Barclay’s oyster. Finding solace in the San Francisco dance scene, Claude started making his own tunes to emulate the house that he was a fan of, as well as making some innovations of his own. He teamed up with some likeminded buddies, forming the Dirty Bird label to make music that was light in tone and very heavy on bass. Dirty Bird don Claude VonStroke with a bass-heavy take no prisoners mix live at HARD Summer 2012 in Los Angeles.
