Our thankful thought for today is this: The story is told of a harried minister who was given an assignment by the Swiss psychiatrist and psychotherapist, Carl Jung, to be alone with himself. After some time, the minister reported back to Dr. Jung about his recent experience reading books and listening to classical music. Dr. Jung replied, "You didn’t understand. I didn’t want you with Herman Hesse or Thomas Mann or even Mozart or Chopin. I wanted you alone with yourself."
Our quote of thanks is from M.J. Ryan. She said, "Gratitude helps us to return to our natural state of joyfulness, where we notice what's right instead of what's wrong. It makes us feel complete, that we have everything we need, at least in this moment."
Our Bible verse of thanks is Psalms 34:8 (ASV). It reads, "Oh taste and see that Jehovah is good: Blessed is the man that taketh refuge in him."
