Yes. Elvis v Billy Fury - my vote goes to Billy Fury, seeing as I followed his every move in the day..."Story of my life" was a favourite of my Mums.... and Connie Francis was such a Superstar... as was our Dusty, who I once met backstage at the London Palladium. The big Gold Star on her door said it all. Thankyou again for your comments. I aim to please.... nice to know its working!

Bobby Vee - what a lovely song * B I L L Y * FU R Y * YEAH!!! I'm still undecided if he has IT over Elvis. Tough call :) Need to see these films he was in so I can make a final decision. Agree with Silva, Connie Francis track - how a real love song ought to be. 'Story of my life' has been one of my faves since I first heard it as a teenager - so the early 90's for me was reliving my parents youth.... and yet they still told me to turn my music down :D Wow Little Town Flirt - was identical to 2 kinds of teardrops, just different words (even had the ah ah ah ah ah in the same places)
I have a B side of Elvis covering Green Green Grass (not as good as Tom's version but worth digging out nonetheless). There's some Eddie Cochrane - Somethin' Else drumming hidden in the intro on that Adam Faith song (not sure who got it first) and as for Duanne Eddy - LEGEND! Outstanding track this hour has to be 'How Can I Be Sure?' just perfection...

Hi Silva. Thankyou . Yes 'The Green Green Grass of Home' is a Classic song. I saw Tom Jones singing that at a Concert in Ireland many years ago. That was long before his shiny black hair turned to grey! I think it brings back childhood memories for may people - and memories too for people who live far away from their childhood homes. Thankyou for your nice comments on the show xx .
