The bomb was likely a timed bomb versus a barometric bomb, which are triggered by changes in elevation. The Egyptian government has accepted an offer of assistance by the US NTSB to help determine the cause of the plane crash. Egyptian officials have disclosed that last Summer the Egyptian army confiscated over 10 tons of C4 and TNT during a raid of an ISIS in Sinai compound.
