“The play of shine and shade on the trees as the supple boughs wag,
The delight alone or in the rush of the streets, or along the fields and hill-sides,
The feeling of heal, the full-noon trill, the song of me rising from bed and meeting the sun”
- Walt Whitman
The great American poet T.S. Eliot once said, “Genuine poetry can communicate before it is understood.” For Genesis the Greykid, a self-professed student of Eliot’s, his role as an artist is to figure out how to communicate genuinely and responsibly through his art. With a large scope of experience already, he still remains curious in future exploration, and is excited to continue asking the hard questions and changing paradigms. He sits down with Erasing Boundaries, just as news of Monday’s attack in Boston broke, and shared the role art can play in helping to understand.
