Creedence Clearwater Revival .
Almost forgotten by the youngest generations, Creedence Clearwater Revival (from now CCR in short) is one of the highest expressions of classic american rock. Maybe cause of their relative short activity (1967-1972) maybe cause of most important radios skipping them in favor to more famous contemporary artists CCR seems to be kinda forgotten.
The band consisted of lead vocalist, lead guitarist, and primary songwriter John Fogerty, his brother and rhythm guitarist Tom Fogerty, bassist Stu Cook, and drummer Doug Clifford. Their musical style encompassed country rock and swamp rock genres. Despite their San Francisco Bay Area origins, they positioned themselves as Southern rock stylists, singing about bayous, the Mississippi River, catfish, and other popular elements of Southern iconography.
The second episode of The Immortals series features this band as a tribute to their role in rock'n'roll history.
Stay tuned for the next episode! Have a nice holidays.
