Compassion, in relationships must be a two way street or our relationships will fail. We must understand the people in our lives may be going through things we don't know about, understand, or what it really feels like to be in their shoes. They are not perfect, and quite frankly, neither are we. We all need to cut one another more slack and stop sweating the small stuff. But there are times when we are compassionate towards the others in our lives that we will wind up taking the hit instead. How can we effectively make sure that we don't overdo our compassion? When do we realize that we have been overly compassionate towards someone who may not be overly deserving of it?
