Eliza Carthy presents The Wayward Tour 2013 Podcast

Playing tracks by

Eliza Carthy & Nancy Kerr, Waterson:Carthy, Eliza Carthy, Eliza Carthy and the Kings of Calicutt, Eliza Carthy and the Red Band and more.

Eliza Carthy has been recording and touring for 21 years. Jim Moray has been recording and touring for 10 years. And they are celebrating with a UK tour in May/June 2013 which they very much hope you will come and see! Featuring a one-off, all-star, thirteen piece band drawn from all eras of their careers and some special guests-including Sam Sweeney (Bellowhead), Barnaby Stradling (Kings of Calicutt, Blowzabella), Saul Rose (Whapweasel, EII, Kings of Calicutt, Waterson:Carthy) and many more…this is a recording of Eliza telling some of the stories behind her material and albums, and playing a selection of songs and tunes from her back catalogue. Please excuse the continuousness of this, the lack of breaks…it's her first time…x

I spend more time than I can afford listening to podcasts, web radio, soundcloud, mix loud et al. They have some sort of weakness, irritation, annoyance and defect.
This had none of that. It was sheer joy from start to finish.
