Rui G’s musical path isn’t that much different from any other of all the DJs of our time that are looking for their place in the sun. Starting as a raver, going to house parties around 2001, he got attracted to trance in 2003. By mid 00’s he got influenced by the productions of Cosa Nostra, at the Via Club, in such a way that it is not that strange to think that some of the names that eventually got there, such as Extrawelt, Paul Ritch, Superflu, Popof or Gui Boratto, are among his main musical references. This brought the decision of starting, around 2008, to play with some software platforms that were getting popular at the time, such as Traktor or Virtual DJ. In 2009 he definitely went for a more classical approach, starting to play with a desk kit, cdj’s e FX processor (KORG Kaos Pad 3), of which he is a confessed fan.
