Over last 2 years there’s been a lot of good releases on cassette. This is probably just a trend but when you look at acts like those on the Not not fun label (highly recommended cassette company) the analog technology and the cassette sound is used more on a conceptual level than just nostalgic. Of course there are old influences, such as old zombie soundtracks and walkman aesthetics but I want to see something more, like if there’s a onother perspective to it. A post-modern view that critizise our consuming and technological lifestyles and that finds true beauty in our faults and fragility instead. I don’t know but I’ve always loved that idea and I’m also a big fan of old electronics so i decided to do a lo-fi mix that blends this new tapemusic with italian zombie-soundtracks and other analog stuff. Enjoy!
