In this episode I talk to Dr Michael Proulx of Queen Mary University London who works with the vOICe technology which allows the blind to see with sound. The technology can be used to induce a type of ‘synthetic vision’ which is achieved through the brains ability to 'rewire' itself to interpret sound input as a visual stimuli.

Dr Proulx is currently using the technology to to understand how different sense modalities interact to give rise to perception.
