So recently, for an unrelated reason, I pulled my 1993 Denon 740 tape deck out of the cupboard, along with a pile of mixtapes. Incredibly, tapes still sound *really* good. In our collective memory, they are janky, and hissy, and wobbly. But actually, the good ones are incredible. Either that, or my old ears are broken. Anyway, I got the urge to make a mixtape. I recorded this onto an actual cassette, but for you... well... it's all digital I'm afraid.
Most of the mixtapes in my box dated from the early to mid 90's. But this one is "new". Tracks from around the 1993 - but hopefully not the ones you'd be expecting. Played on and inspired by John Peel shows of the time. Just the right size for putting onto one side of a C90.
PS. Apologies - there is a 2-3 minute chunk of silence at the very end of this. I'm a bit rusty with audio editing!
