Much like the first volume, this mix is a showcase of some of my personal favourite songs of that era - focusing primarily on songs with good percussion and bouncy breakdowns. And this time I made an effort to include some great Canadian content including The Parachute Club, Blue Peter, and The Spoons.
As always, I've drawn from my vinyl collection (including instrumentals, extended versions, rare mixes, etc.) to provide an enhanced take on some of the standards. I always try to pack as much quality material in as I can and this one is pushing 80 minutes!
‘1979-1989’ was an incredibly diverse period for music, and without a doubt this has become my favourite era of music to mix. The variety and complexity of the music from that period makes it challenging, but incredibly fun, to mix.
Much thanks to those friends and fans that received the first volume so kindly - and my apologies it's taken 5+ years for me to finally get this second one out. I hope it will be worth the wait :)
