Just like my first Classic Rock Mix, this is a collection of some of my favourite material from the classic rock genre. Rock can be hard to mix on turntables, so it took some time to find the right tracks to make this work. Songs with good percussion & breaks are key, and I made edits of many tracks to help fit in as much material as possible.
This 80 minute dj mix was made using 2 technics turntables, a Rane 72 mixer, and Serato. I tried to mix in key as much as possible, and to keep the blends tidy with just a touch of scratching in a few spots :)
It's my honour to share it here with anyone who is interested in this type of music. I'd like to thank everyone who gave their feedback on the first volume, it was one of my highest praised mixes date so it was a real pleasure to make a Volume 2.
Thanks everyone for listening and sharing and please feel free to repost and share the link with anyone you think might enjoy it. Would you be interested in a Volume 3? Please let me know!
8th in the classic rock Chart

This is AWESOME! Great selections and smooth mixing! I'm wondering what version of "Sgt. Pepper" that is? Loved hearing the Van Halen Kinks cover, too! Check out what I'm cooking up on KLOS radio here in Los Angeles -- https://www.mixcloud.com/djpaulv/playlists/klos-mashpit-mixes
