Volume 5 has been a while coming, sorry about the wait! In the usual Voodoo tradition we have a plethora of styles; mambo, calypso & bossa nova feature, both original sounds (Les Chakachas, Tito Puente, Blind Blake) and music influenced by the influx of Latin rhythms to the USA (Sarah Vaughan, Tippie & The Clovers, The Jayos, Barney Kessell). There is of course the usual dose of heavy R&B, sleazy surf and freaky groovers including the Lavern Baker track that gave the night it's name.
This edition of the series sees us approaching our Hogmanay party in Nice'n'Sleazy with The Total Jerks playing live, and as soon as we hit Janurary we've got our 1st birthday party!
