Dr. J Presents... Volume 33 (Part 1) (10:20-11:30am)
A very special edition in the series - notwithstanding all of the mixes in the series being performed live, this one was a 6 hour set recorded for the E.S.C Graffiti crew to support their exhibition: [Escaping.Societies.Corruption] @ The Waterloo Action Centre, Baylis Road, Waterloo as part of the 2011 Pentecost Festival in London.
The mix kicks off in gentle style, drawing upon old and new downtempo and chilled numbers from across a spectrum of musical disciplines, from the authoritative jazz of The Cinematic Orchetra (backed by an impressive Roots Manuva), to the majestic ambient drum & bass of So:Flow, to the deep and brooding efforts of Jamie Woon, the soundtrack of the gallery began in subtle but powerful style.
Prepare for a further injection of beats and soul in part 2:
