DJ PSYCHO. The Cabrini Greens (revisited)

DJ PSYCHO. The Cabrini Greens (revisited)

My first ever party was during the summer of 1986. In Chicago. Big ol' train station, which was still in semi-operation....or at least the trains ran through the depot still. Farley Jackmaster Funk was on the wheels. Not a lot of lights....and when the train rolled through, it shook the entire building...but the music never skipped nor stopped. It was then that I fell in love with house music. When I came home, I tried seeking this music out at local record stores...with very limited success.

Enter MR. JEFFREY WOODWARD....the first person I had ever heard play house music in Flint....and the only, practically, until Kevin and I came along. (That I knew of, anyway...) As devoutly Detroit as I was/am still, U can't get past the groove of what Chicago had 2 offer. We're kinda like brother cities, musically. We just had different ways of freaking the 808 and the 303, that's all.

Good shit Psycho! Big ups to the original "Buy Rite Records" -Jeff Woodward. He always schooled me on what to get while I was in and out. As far as mix "10" goes, I think you can expand on this with "10a, 10b, 10c, etc. I want to hear the origianal dum dum, more fast eddie, more Phuture, also "She ain't nothin' but a hoe" and some of the rare Farley xxx b-sides (Suck my [email protected]%k Bitch), before he got into his gospel shit. Good mix, you fucked me up with these. We were buying the same shit back then. Keep up the good work!
