Playing tracks by
ESG, Give 3, 33 A Chance, Give 33, Same as above and more.
Because of Mixcloud's idiotic licensing agreement with the American Copyright Cartel, I've had to alter the names of artists in my tracklisting so that people can hear the mix. ASCAP, BMI, SoundExchange, etc find it wrong to have more than 4 tracks from an artist in a mix. Even if it is the artist's own mix. Or a tribute mix.
But if you just change the artist names? Problem solved.
This is a vinyl mix of records that were supposed to be played at 45 rpm, but instead I played them at 33 rpm. I purposely gave a lot of them fake names not to claim credit for the tunes or to say that I was doing anything special. Instead, I hoped it'd encourage people to try and hunt down the original tunes they like at the slower speeds. That's why many (though not all) of the tracks have hints in the names themselves.
More on Give 33 A Chance can be found at: http://give33achance.blogspot.com including download links to individual tracks from this mix, and bonus 33 recordings not on this mix.
