I've had the name Action Jackson for a mixtape in my head for a few years. But I was always unsure because my mixtapes are supposed to have only one-word names. I first heard the name from my friend, Michi, who regularly says Action Jackson when he makes funny threats of violence to someone. It refers to the Action Jackson film and the comedy in the violence. Late last year I saw an Action Jackson tag in the streets. A day later I also heard the Action Jackson reference in Falcon Outlaw's Steady Mobbin'. It was clear: The next mixtape will be called Action Jackson.
