The third mix in the Lost Gay Sydney series paying homage to my early DJ years in Sydney which roughly started about 1987. By 1989 I was loving the Italo House sound that was starting to emerge. This mix contains some defining artists like Madonna, Donna Summer, Rick Astley, Lisa Stansfield, Blackbox and Soul II Soul. Again diversity rules here from PWL mixes, Hip-house, Stomping, Italo House and Soulful precursors to RnB. And yes, all these were played...some are pure classics like 'Ride On Time' and spawned a genre, others were part of dancing trend call stomping (yes, I could do it!) such as Stomp by Kaze and Get Busy by Mr Lee. This is when Madonna started to go stellar, Donna Summer turned to PWL and others thought megamixes were a geat way of defining an era. And there was the Reynold Girls on PWL who chanted 'rolling stones, golden oldies ,we dont want them back, we would rather jack than Fleetwood Mac...and Ezee Posse who claimed 'every things starts with an E'.
