It's the best of the "Brokedown Merry-Go-Round" animation score music block from the radio station A Fistful of Soundtracks (http://afistfulofsoundtracks.blogspot.com). "Brokedown" was part of the AFOS station schedule from 2012 until the demise of AFOS in 2016, and the block lives on in this 60-minute mix. The famous sproing from "The Merry-Go-Round Broke Down" kicks off the mix, followed by my all-time favorite score cue ever written for a sci-fi flick. Sorry, "The Asteroid Field" from The Empire Strikes Back. Woops, not so fast, Star Trek II end title theme. My favorite cue written for a sci-fi flick is "What Planet Is This?" from Cowboy Bebop: The Movie. All spaceship battles should be scored with "What Planet Is This?" There's a lot of great music to vibe out to in this mix, starting at 29:37. The late Nujabes was a genius. Then the mix concludes with "Goodbye Moonmen" from Rick and Morty, in honor of the rock star Jemaine Clement parodied during "Moonmen": the late David Bowie.
