The great Pat Laffan re-enacts Padraig (Croaker) O Briain's version of "The Widow's Son" as recorded in Coosheen, County Clare by Tadhg O Murchadha and Kevin Danaher for the Irish Folklore Commission in 1950, translated into English for the first time ever by Ailbe van der Heide.

Produced, adapted, recorded & directed by Deirdre Mulrooney for her BAI-funded radio documentary "Coosheen's Forgotten Seanchai and Son", broadcast on Newstalk 106 - 108fm on December 16th & 22nd 2018, and available on podcast.
