Everyone is entitled to their own beliefs and to believe in something. This is not in anyway an attempt to belittle or celebrate religion, rather my own ode to the sounds that both soothe and shake me, in a particular theme. For me, it’s about the music.
I lost faith in my inherited religion a long time ago, when dinosaurs were left out of the story. If they had been painted on the shore when Noah sailed into the storm, than maybe it wouldn’t have been such an early lesson learned. My mistrust in faith.
Thus, music is my “religion”, my faith in something bigger than myself, something that can impact and change the lives of others, something I can believe in and within find meaning. It has the power to create unspoken bonds, connecting my life to others, a belief shared. Mystery of creation and explanations of devastation all found in the sounds.
By no means is this me denouncing my own culture or heritage, it is just an honest statement on my current beliefs system.
