Bath Time Rainy Day Soul Mix May 10th, 2012

Playing tracks by

The Dramatics, O.V. Wright, Eddie Bo, The Impressions, Kenny Carter and more.

Here is a mix I made to take a quick bath with last week when the weather was similar to today's in Glasgow. The latter half gets louder and more upbeat as I like to shower for the tail end and need to still be able to hear it. To me, this is a concise little set, with an honest narrative of tunes that speaks to my experiences. The last track, TCB, serves to get me focussed on the many tasks constantly requiring my attention, once I have finished managing my hygiene. Making mixes like this helps me practice what I do for work and take time out for my at home hobbies and chores. In this case, 20 minutes was really all the time I could spare to get lost in music, although putting it together took up more time than I had, it is certainly one I enjoy revisiting. I will spare you the two hours of tangents through sounds and sentiments I sometimes take out for baths in the middle of the afternoon.
