Is music entrepreneurship all about selling a song?
Well, if you were to ask me, no, there's so much more to it than just that.
But the general perception of music entrepreneurship seems to be that it's all about being good at marketing and writing songs that have mass market appeal.
And marketing is important, but I view music entrepreneurship as something more holistic.
It's about changing your mindset and your lifestyle. It's about striving to be better in every area of life. It's about setting up systems. It's about seeing opportunities where others see none.
I think bringing your whole self - your humanness - to your entrepreneurial efforts is absolutely essential to your success and fulfillment.
If music is just a means to an end for you, I can think of much better businesses for you to be in.
I believe music entrepreneurship is about living a life that's both prosperous and fulfilling. If you just want to make money, there are plenty of other things you could be doing.
