I have heard several artists talk about the highs and lows they often go through. They tend to experience emotions more intensely and more powerfully than others around them. They over-think things and torment themselves over seemingly "small" things.
These are characteristics common to introverts, who need to better understand how they are wired so that they can still be effective in their day-to-day lives.
I am a subset of introverts who are even more sensitive, and know all too well the many challenges that accompany being an introvert.
