This DJ-Mix was designed to introduce the beautiful sound of Drum'n'Bass for those who are not familiar with it at all.
Here's the full description:
In the fifth part of the "Schwäbisch Hall Compilation" Dewitt applies himself to Drum'n'Bass (short: DnB) - a kind of electronic music, originated in the early '90s in England. Apart from heavy basses and palpable melodies DnB is particularly characterized by fast break-beats, based on sampled and converted rhythm elements like the popular amen-break from 1969. Beside this DnB contains elements of other genre like House, Pop, Techno and Jazz or Classic as well. Although DnB covers a very broad spectrum of electronic sounds from Liquid Funk to Darkstep, with this set Dewitt is focused on atmospheric, relaxed tunes. Starting with an analytically, rationally shaped undertone, with engaging sounds he pulls the listener deeper and deeper into an emotional labyrinth consisting of shuffled snares, hi-hats and drum-patterns.
