Chart positions

This upload was 4th in the #alternative rock chart and 16th in the #old school chart.

An 11-song mix of actual remixes (and a Peel Session song by Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark to end the mix).
This is a shorter one because it was one of those mixes where I threw 21 songs in to start, but felt that was too long and the first 11 songs mixed worked perfectly ... didn't want to ruin that vibe.
For those who don't know - the picture is Chris Isaak with beautiful model Helena Christensen in his video for Wicked Game.

Tracklist is posted.

Memories back to the time I was a DJ in and after-hours club in Easton, PA. Run by questionable people, CRYCLES was an icon in the area where peeps would come after the "regular" bars closed. Had many a memorable night there spinning, a gay man feeding the alcohol and cocaine fueled heterosexual masses the best music of the day. One crit -- better if you make these truly 80's mixes. I love the new New Order but it really doesn't belong here. All considered and commendable mix.

Dave Vachon

To be honest, I do these mixes more for myself than anything else. I get a kick out of the fact that people enjoy them, but my primary target when making this mixes is yours truly. I happen to love a lot of newer New Order - so it gets in.
My rule with The 1980s Remixed series is using 80s artists, but not necessarily just songs from the 80s.
From time to time, I'll even break that rule and put in a few newer songs because they sound kind of 80s.

I supposed I could go full retro in a future mix though, maybe do a new New Order mix that doesn't go beyond Technique.

Who doesn't just absolutely love the 80's and THAT music. Oh, buddy, what a wonderful time I had. Thanks for the TBT with this one.
